The intent of the design of the restaurant Stable Bar + Grill is to create a space that is playful and visually stimulating for guests as they dine. The contemporary, youthful, and unique design is accomplished through it’s utilization of a bold, bright color pallete, varying ceiling types and heights, natural light let in by large two-story windows, attention-grabbing architectural lighting features, and various types of textures, fabrics, materials, and patterns. I really wanted to incorporate unique lighting features and unique architectural features in general. In my design, you will see various ceiling heights and drops that are meant to draw the eye around the space. The design features two architectural design features, including cove lighting and a suspended soffit uplight. Various materials, such as different types of wood, metals, tile, etc. have been emphasized with accent lighting.
